Dog Blog vs. TIME: A Social Media Success Story
By Jeff DavisLooking for another reason to reach out to blogs?
Fellow PRSA Counselor’s Academy member Indra Gardiner of San Diego agency Bailey Gardiner recently shared a good one. Her client, Vet-Stem, measures success by leads that go directly to the company or to their accredited vets. BG placed a story in TIME magazine that ran online and in print. Nice hit. They placed a similar story the following week with a blogger who writes only about dogs and arthritis. Hmmmm.
Results? The blog post resulted in more than 200 inquiries; TIME brought in about a dozen. While not every publicity program is meant to drive leads, this one was, and it targeted the right audience.
