WASHINGTON, D.C. — Baltimore public relations and social media firm Sawmill Marketing Public Relations announces a new client, the Washington, D.C.-based Capitol Communicator.
As part of Sawmill’s responsibilities, partner Jeff Davis has been named regional editor of the website news portal and 10,000-circulation newsletter, offering insights and news coverage from Baltimore, Annapolis, Columbia, Southern Pennsylvania and Delaware. He will also serve as an advisor to the Washington, D.C.-based team and a moderator and speaker at Capitol Communicator’s events.
“I’ve been a reader of the Capitol Communicator for many years and am excited to now be a part of the team,” Davis said. “I’m also looking forward to matching my journalism skills with my knowledge of the communications community so we can deliver more regional coverage and insights.”
Phil Rabin, Capitol Communicator co-founder and editor, said, “with the addition of Jeff, we are now able to more fully cover the Baltimore region and, as a result, work toward our goal of connecting communicators in the Mid-Atlantic.”
A former president of the Maryland chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Davis holds a degree in journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University and was a reporter for daily newspapers in Ohio, New Jersey and Maryland before he entered public relations. His advertising and public relations agency experience includes TBC and the former Richardson, Myers & Donofrio (later Carton Donofrio Partners) in Baltimore and Crosby Marketing Communications in Annapolis.
